Pond along FR 523 - Mineral County
Ownership: None Listed
Description: This medium-sized farmer's pond is probably the best pond in Mineral County. Many dabblers have been seen here, along with Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, Redhead, Bufflehead, Eared, Pied-billed, and Western Grebes (only place in the county where it seems to be regular!), and Wilson's Phalarope.

Habitat: Pond/Lake/Reservoir
Directions: From Creede, go west on CO 149 for 6.5 miles to FR 523 (Middle Creek Rd.). Take a left onto FR 523 and go 6.5 miles, bearing right at the fork at 4 miles, to the small pond on the right.
